    What is HEAT training and who needs it?

    HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training) is a training course for people working in high-risk areas, including war zones. Our training courses are suitable for:

    1. Employees of international organizations and NGOs.
    2. Media representatives.
    3. Volunteers and humanitarian workers.
    4. People working in high-risk regions.

    What does the training program include?

    The training comprises both theoretical and practical components, with a primary focus on practice.
    Participants will gain skills in:
    – Properly applying a tourniquet and stopping massive bleeding.
    – Basics of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
    – Mine safety rules.
    – Providing first aid in case of road accidents.
    – Proper use of a fire extinguisher.
    – Other skills.

    Do the trainers have real experience?

    Octopussecurity trainers have an experience in security work for international non-governmental organizations and the mass-media as well, along with they are constantly involved in planning and implementing trips to dangerous places, also providing medical assistance and medical evacuation in close proximity to the contact line.

    Octopussecurity has a great amount of transport facilities, actors, equipment, props, weapon dummies and all the necessary attributes to model various situations as close as possible to real life and other training exercises.

    We have conducted over three hundred trainings on HEAT, SSAFE, First Aid, Tactical Medicine, PSEAH and Safeguarding for various international NGOs, public organizations, UN agencies (in cooperation with UNDSS).
